This fee applies when hair is not properly prepped according to the instructions provided before your haircut appointment. Prep is essential to ensure I can see your natural curl pattern clearly and work efficiently without causing unnecessary tension or breakage. If the hair arrives tangled, heavily matted, or not in a fully dry, detangled, and defined state, additional time, care, and product will be needed — and that’s where the detailing fee comes in. Fee Range: $75-$100, depending on time and condition of the hair. Following the prep instructions helps protect your curls and your time!

This treatment is designed to gently detangle severe matting and remove heavy product buildup from the scalp and strands. Ideal for neglected or overwhelmed curls, it restores softness, manageability, and prepares the hair for healthy styling or cutting.
